  • Mock Interviews

  • DAT Prep

  • Alginate Impression Taking

  • Use of Dentsim Lab

  • Interactions with current dental students and local dentists

History and Mission of the Program

The Impressions program was first adopted as a national initiative in 1999 by Dr. Kimberly Edwards Beal (1999-2000 National SNDA President) from Medical College of Georgia. The program was created in order to expose underrepresented pre-dental students to the career of dentistry, as well as allowing them the opportunity to learn about the application process.  Beginning in 2003 the Impressions Program began to focus on making participants stronger dental school applicants. This was done through the addition of DAT Courses and Mock Interviews by Dr. Damon Ross (2005-2006 National SNDA President).
